Settlement Chamber

The settlement chamber is fed through two bottom drains via 110mm pvc pipes. The capacity of the settlement chamber is approx 1000 litres. From there it runs via a 50mm pvc pipe to the where it joins the Weir piping at the .75 kw pump. The chamber is flushed once a week in summer and assists a great deal with mechanical filtration. An Air pump provides additional oxygen in the settlement chamber which also assists the bio filters which contains the friendly bacteria that has a very high oxygen demand.
